Contract 11A
Includes the rehabilitation of three structures on Highway 6 within Haldimand County, listed below. The majority of the proposed work consists of bridge rehabilitation work that can be undertaken within the right-of-way and may result in minimal short duration impacts to the natural, social and cultural environment. Construction staging and traffic management for each structure is also listed below.
- Rehabilitation of Stirling Street Underpass on Highway 6, Haldimand County
- Traffic on Stirling Street will be reduced to one lane with "Yield to oncoming traffic" signs
- Rehabilitation of 6th Line Underpass on Highway 6, Haldimand County
- Traffic on 6th Line will be reduced to one lane with portable temporary traffic signals
- Rehabilitation of Domtar Access Road Overpass on Highway 6, Haldimand County
- Traffic on Highway 6 will be reduced to one lane with portable temporary traffic signals
The rehabilitation of the three structures is being undertaken as part of a larger project to rehabilitate the pavement on the Highway 6 Caledonia Bypass.
Construction of the Contract 11A improvements began in 2019, and is anticipated to be completed in 2020.
Contract 11B
Includes the rehabilitation of three structures on Highway 3 and Highway 6 within Haldimand County, listed below. The majority of the proposed work consists of bridge rehabilitation work that can be undertaken within the right-of-way and may result in minimal short duration impacts to the natural, social and cultural environment. Construction staging and traffic management may be required at the structure site(s) listed below, which would have short duration impacts to the travelling public.
- Rehabilitation of Sandusk Creek Bridge on Highway 6, Haldimand County
- Rehabilitation of Sandusk Creek Bridge on Highway 3, Haldimand County
- Rehabilitation of Stoney Creek Bridge on Highway 3, Haldimand County
Construction of the Contract 11B improvements is expected to be undertaken in 2020 and 2021, subject to funding and approvals.
Contract 11C
Includes the replacement of McKenzie Creek Bridge on Highway 6 in Haldimand County. Traffic staging during construction will be confirmed as the study progresses; however, lane reductions on Highway 6 and on the bridge are expected to facilitate construction. Construction of the Contract 11C improvements is expected to be undertaken in 2023 and 2024, subject to funding and approvals.

Consultation
Agencies, Stakeholders and Indigenous Communities will be contacted directly to introduce the study, provide an opportunity for them to submit comments and available background information or permit/approval requirements as early as possible as the study proceeds. Input regarding potential construction or traffic staging concerns that may impact daily operations or any significant community events was also requested. Property owners potentially interested in Contract 11 improvements will be notified of the project and provided an opportunity to submit comments.
